Home is a place where you want to return. However marvelous the trip was, home is the place to warm up, relax, and have quality leisure. And yet, sometimes it happens that home doesn’t feel as comfortable and welcoming, despite apparent order and cleanliness. What’s wrong? Here are 6 possible mistakes in the house.
Mistake 1: Rarely dusting “secret” corners
Everyone knows that as soon as you wipe a table or a shelf, it starts getting dusty again. Still, this is no reason to throw in the towel. Don’t forget that dust also accumulates behind furniture. You don’t see it, but you can feel it when you breathe. Don’t forget to clean those places at least once every 1-2 months.
Mistake 2: Rarely washing curtains
It is very important! First, they also accumulate a lot of dust, which you inhale. Second, they look dull because the sun shines into the room through those dirty curtains. Wash them at least once every 3 months to breathe clean and fresh air!
Mistake 3: Keeping ruined clothes
What for? They take up room in your closet, upset you, and no longer fulfill their main function of making you look great. If an item of clothing is very dear to you, be sure to mend it, but don’t keep a pile of torn T-shirts or socks with holes.
Mistake 4: Keeping chipped crockery
There is no point because you can’t mend dishes, or at least it will be extremely difficult to do so inconspicuously. Throw them away with no regrets.
Mistake 5: Not fixing leaking faucets or pipes
As a result, you always have small puddles on the floor, which can lead to the formation of mold. It's not worth it! Hire a plumber once, so that the house is clean and hygienic.
Mistake 6: Forgetting to clean light fixtures
Or doing so very rarely. Most often, chandeliers and other light fixtures are of light-colored shades. They collect dust, which, in turn, affects the quality and brightness of light. A dim room can be rather depressing. Don’t forget to wash the light fixtures and change the lightbulbs every six months. They should be working!
These mistakes seem to be fairly harmless, but if you think about it, each really prevents you from fully enjoying the cleanliness and comfort of your home. Avoid making them and enjoy every moment spent indoors!
