Life After A Tragedy: Turia Pitt's Husband Loves Her Even More Even Though Her Beauty Was Ruined By Fire

We all want a life partner who takes us and loves us for who we are. The world is so unpredictable and we hope our partner's love for us to be unshakeable.

Unfortunately, every relationship goes through trials that will test it. And these adversities can either make a couple stronger or destroy them, depending on what motivates their love.

Michael Hoskin and athlete Turia Pitt faced one such trial when she suffered burns to 60% of her body after a freak accident during an ultramarathon in 2011.

The incident caused her to look very different from the physically stunning beauty she once was.

While a lot of men would have bailed on a silimar situation, Michael knew he was going nowhere.

Sure, Turia looked very different, but he fell in love with who she was inside. It was when she was in a coma for a month after the accident that Michael made a vow that he would marry her if she pulled through.

Some people were curious as to why he chose to stay, especially considering the fact that they were not married at the time. Michael was even asked this very question once. And his reply was absolutely amazing:

I was attracted to her soul and her character. She’s the only woman that will continue to fulfill my dreams.

The couple got married in 2016 and, a year later, they welcomed their first child. Today, they are happily married and raising their kid together. No one can doubt the kind of love that Michael has for Turia.

When we think of couple goals, we should think of these two. They were thrown a major curveball, but they did not let it destroy what they shared. Michael and Turia are worthy of being emulated.
