Why So Short? Real Reason Why Meghan And Kate Wear Knee-Length Outfits During Their Pregnancies

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s after-wedding fairy tale doesn’t seem to end: dream relationship, magical ceremony, constant public affection, and an upcoming baby.

The official announcement was given by Kensington Palace shortly before Meghan and Harry’s trip to the Oceania countries, revealing that the baby will be born in spring 2019.

Meghan immediately drew the attention of the entire world, making them track her behavior, words, and of course, each of her outfits.

Surprisingly, Meghan began to cut the length of her dresses, drawing enough attention to resemble her royal colleague Kate, who also tried this style during all her pregnancies. Coincidence? Definitely not.

According to Seraphine brand’s founder, Cecile Reinaud, in an interview with InStyle, there is a clear reason for both Duchesses to wear short dresses during pregnancy:

Highlighting legs and arms is always a good trick to keep a nice silhouette.

Kate did go shorter for sure. She went shorter, on a couple of occasions well above her knee, which she never does normally. And especially in winter, because when she wore opaque black tights, it looks okay. It doesn’t look too much because it’s not bare legs, it’s black opaque tights with a shorter dress.

Because Meghan’s pregnancy is going to be a winter pregnancy, I think she’s more likely to shorten her hemline and also probably wear what we’ve seen at Eugenie's royal wedding, this kind of coat dress.

Although Meghan's tummy is still small, she was seen in several short outfits, which highlighted her long legs.

One of the most memorable occasions was the couple’s visit to New Zealand, where Meghan opted for a knee-length black dress that showed her thighs as she descended from the plane. Some people feared that she might have broken the royal protocol by showing too much, but according to Beaumont Etiquette’s founder Myka Meierm, Meghan is constantly surrounded by a royal team that selects her clothes to make sure she doesn’t break the traditions of the monarchy.

Both Kate and Meghan look/looked fabulous during pregnancies, despite the imminent changes in their health due to their condition.

Meghan follows the advice and experience of her royal colleague and does it perfectly well! Do you support the Duchess’ “short” style? Do you think her legs look slimmer indeed? Share your thoughts in the comments.
