Meghan Markle's Wardrobe For Public Outings Has A Pretty Hefty Price Tag, But Who's Paying For It?

March 16, 2018

Meghan Markle doesn’t cease to amaze us with her outfits. First, she took everyone’s breath away when she wore a stunning Ralph & Russo dress for her engagement photo-shoot. But what raised people’s brows was the price tag of the gown that reportedly cost $75 thousand!

And the former actress continues sporting expensive clothing. Just a few days ago, Prince Harry’s bride-to-be rocked a $1,000 white coat from Amanda Wakeley, and it has definitely made heads turn. But it has also raised a question as to who pays for all Markle’s outfits?

For now, it’s all paid out of the actress’ pocket (well, maybe with a little help from her beau). But we really don’t think that paying for her outfits can be a burden for Meghan. The former actress has had quite a successful career, and her net worth is estimated to be $5 million! But it’s still lower than Prince Harry’s one, which is somewhere between $25-40 million.

After the marriage, Meghan will still have to pay for her designer outfits because the royals do not accept such clothes for free. But as soon as she is married into the royal family, Prince Charles will cover Markle’s clothing budget for various official outings.

In case you didn’t know, the queen’s son gives money to Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton. He takes it from his Duchy of Cornwall income, which is almost $30 million.

The royals and the actress also pay for the forthcoming wedding in terms of decorations, reception, and much more, including Meghan’s $550,000 dress. On the other hand, the UK taxpayers will pay for security.
