Now, it's the turn of the Swedish royals.

A few weeks ago, the world learned about the birth of the second son of Prince Carl Philip and his beloved wife, Princess Sofia, Gabriel. Aside from the official announcement of the news, there was not much to know about the little boy. A few days later, the royal daddy shared a picture of his 5-day-old sleeping son.

And now, we finally have a chance to take a closer look at this lovely newborn.

Some lovely family photos were created by the court photographer, Erika Geredemark. On one of these amazing pictures, the happy parents were holding their newborn son, and the boy was looking directly at his mom and dad.

All the pictures were taken at one of the most beautiful places in Stockholm – the East Gate of the Royal Palace.

The next chapter of the royal family's history

The full name of the second son of Duke and Duchess of Värmland is Prince Gabriel Carl Walther, Duke of Dalarna. The first middle name, Carl, honors the boy's royal grandfather, King Carl XVI Gustaf. The second name, Walther, is the name of the late father of Queen Silvia.

Prince Philip, 38, married the former model, Princess Sofia, 32, back in 2015, after being in a relationship for almost five years. On April 19th, 2016, the royal couple welcomed their first kid – Prince Alexander.

Now, with the birth of the little Gabriel, their family became even bigger.

More photos of the little prince are expected soon

The royals have also announced the official date when the Duke of Dalarna will be christened. The ceremony will take place on December 1st, 2017, at the same church where the little Prince Alexander was baptized in 2016 – the Drottningholm Palace Church.

We hope that after the ceremony, this incredibly sweet and loving family will share even more photos of their baby. After all, there is nothing more pleasant than to see one more smiling happy little face.
