Despite her age, Connie always maintained a sunny disposition about life. She was always active, took exercise very seriously, and was never shy about attending public functions.

There aren’t that many people around who are 105. I always say you have to move, you have to get off the couch.

She even attended Hollywood parties and would see movies nominated for awards more than once, just to be sure of her vote.

Her book titled I Never Wanted to Be a Star — and I Wasn’t chronicles her experience in Hollywood. The late icon has two daughters, Lisa Dudley and Julie Watkins. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
