As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding is around the corner, more and more people are becoming interested in the story of their first meeting and the past of the "Suits" star.
It is evident that the matchmaker, who introduced the American actress to the British royal, is Markus Anderson. He is Meghan’s best friend and works as a consultant for the Soho House Group. Markus is also a former global membership director at the exclusive club where he started working as a waiter and ended up being the right-hand man of founder Nick Jones.
Anderson is believed to set up a blind date between Markle and Prince Harry, with whom he is on friendly terms, too.
However, according to Meghan’s friend and former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, the actress knew with whom she was going on a date.

She recalls:
Meghan had just told me, 'I'm going on a date tonight. With Prince Harry!' I looked at how stunning she was and I just thought: 'There's no way he's going to be able to resist her.
Meghan and Gina worked together for two years. During that time, they traveled the world for corporate and charity events. 52-year-old Nelthorpe-Cowne was the actress’ colleague, companion, and confidante.
Gina is one of a little number of people who know the inside story of the romance between an American beauty and the British royal, whom Meghan calls ‘Haz’, which has been on everybody’s tongue for quite a while now.
A lot of people who know or used to know Meghan praise the bride-to-be. Markle’s childhood friend, Leslie Carroll, calls her "kind, generous and enthusiastic," another friend describes the actress as "bubbly, optimistic and positive."
