'First Wives Club' Actresses Will Be Reunited In The Namesake Series Ordered By Paramount Network

The success of the First Wives Club film isn’t subjected to any disputes. However, there are things the majority of people doesn’t know about it. For example, the fact that former Daily Show host Jon Stewart was supposed to be in the movie, though the scenes with him were cut off. Or that it was the first movie of Timothy Olyphant.

Now, there’s news the film will be revived in the series by the Paramount Network. First Wives Club series will have 10 episodes based on the 1996 popular film. This summer will launch the work on the new series in NYC to have it released in 2019. Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn will star in the series as well as in the movie. Everything will happen in New York, and it’s reported the plot will picture three women to have been united on the grounds of being divorced. This time, they will be trying to get revenge.

Tracy Oliver, the writer of the 'Girls Trip', will be in charge of the 'First Wives Club' for Paramount Network. She agreed to join the team. She believes it’s the time to revive such movies, especially when the world speaks about women leadership and power.
