Usually, Queen Elizabeth II spends the long holiday at Windsor Castle. There, the members of the family join her for celebration. Last year, for example, Her Majesty celebrated together with Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, the Countess of Wessex, and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

But how is she going to spend the day this year?

On Sunday, the monarch will attend a church service at a 14th century St. George’s Chapel (the same venue her grandson Prince Harry will wed at in May). After it, she will meet local children who usually present the Queen with flowers. Then, it’s most likely that Elizabeth will spend the rest of the weekend in private, surrounded by her many family members.

On Maundy Thursday, Her Majesty will also distribute money and gifts to local pensioners at St. George's Chapel in Windsor.

What about other royals?

King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway already know what they’re going to do. According to tradition, the royal couple will travel to the Norwegian mountains. Here, they will use their time to relax and go skiing.
