Back in 1993, the iconic sitcom The Nanny starring Fran Drescher as the hilarious yet incredibly charming Nanny Fine aired on CBS for the very first time. Since then, numerous generation grew up while laughing and crying with the show characters.

The last season of The Nanny aired in 1999. But recently, people started talking about the possible reboot of the sitcom.

Could 'The Nanny' revival happen?

In the last few years, we saw several popular TV shows from the '90s getting back to life: Gilmore Girls, Will and Grace, Roseanne. So, is there any chance we could witness the new chapter of the Nanny Fine and Mr. Sheffield's story?

In a recent interview with Closer Weekly, Fran Drescher, the major star and one of the masterminds behind The Nanny, admitted that she would like to get back to working on the show.

As far as a reboot goes, I would be open to it if somebody wanted to do it.

The actress also said she keeps in touch with many people from the sitcom's cast. Drescher is especially close with Renée Taylor (starred as Fran's mother Sylvia Fine) and Charles Shaughnessy who played Maxwell Sheffield.

But even though there are no signs of CBS or any other network considering the reboot of the iconic comedy so far, the fans of Nanny Fine can still enjoy their favorite show.

It looks like Cozi TV airs the show from the very beginning starting January 1st, 2018.

Fran even mentioned it on her social media for a couple of times.

And judging from people's reaction, they would really like to see the show back on TV.

The fact that people love Fran's most popular character comes as no surprise. And it was not just because of Nanny Fine's crazy outfits or signature voice and laugh.

Many people, both kids and adults, loved her for her amazing sense of humor and incredible ability to solve any problem.
