Prince William is ‘allegic’ to selfies

During the visit to Norway, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were photographed as usual. But Prince William made a curious revelation when asked by a fan if he would pose for a selfie. He said he is "allergic" to selfies.

Prince William was stopped by 46-year-old Kristin Larsen who pleaded with him to take a selfie with her. But he refused, laughing instead and saying, "I'm allergic to selfies." He suggested they pose for a regular photograph. But with a little prodding, Prince William agreed to take the selfie.

Members of the Royal family are photographed a lot, but they hardly ever take selfies with fans. The traditional handshake or wave and smile is usually as far as pleasantries go. However, Queen Elizabeth II has a firm position on selfies. Her Majesty is absolutely against them.

This does not mean that they are totally against selfies. Occasionally, the Royals still oblige fans and pose for a picture or two. This photograph of Prince William and a fan taking a selfie was shot in Oslo.

That is not his only quirk

In addition to avoiding selfies, Prince William has another quirk. He loves to cook. During a charity cook-off in November 2017, Prince William said that he was not a particularly awesome cook, but he did know his way around a kitchen.

We can only imagine the Prince with an apron chopping vegetables on a chopping board. That would be a sight.

It is unlikely Prince William will be contesting in a cookout, but if it is for a good cause, we can bet he will be a good sport and participate.
