Woman Saves A Pitbull From A Death Row, And The Grateful Animal Can’t Stop Hugging Her In Return

Date August 20, 2018

There is nothing more grateful in the world than an animal that gets rescued from an imminent death. And these stories prove they can’t express their love even more vividly than people, and animals don’t even need words for that.

Rescue dogs could be incredibly grateful

The story of Schenley Hutson Kirk is just one of those that prove how eternally grateful animals could be. When he saw Gregory on the euthanasia list, it was clear he can’t allow that to happen. According to the Dodo, a little beagle was found astray and there was no other choice for him but to die.

But Kirk and her husband Joe, the founders of Hound Rescue and Sanctuary dropped everything to save his life. When Joe was driving the doggy to a shelter, he couldn’t but get as close to the man as possible and even leaned on his shoulder – that’s how grateful the doggy was.

Another story of a woman who took a shelter dog to his new foster home proves just the same. According to Today, the poor thing tried to hold Kim’s hand all the way in the car. And it was so touching.

Grateful pitbull

Kayla Filoon, a 20-year-old student, didn’t expect any of this when she had been volunteering for ACCT Philly. She was a dog walker there and loved all the animals she worked with.

She knew one day she would meet her dog, and that’s what happened when she saw Russ, a 4-year-old pitbull. He was very quiet and sick. When he arrived at the shelter his weight was about 40 pounds. What is more, he had a kennel cough.

It was apparent the girl should give acted fast as the doggy was about to be put to sleep. So she decided to adopt him. The poor thing felt her kindness and responded to the woman in the same way. One day, when she was doing her homework, the dog came to her and did this:

One night I'm sitting there on the chair, doing my homework, and he's trying to find ways to cuddle with me. There was a whole other sofa open, and we had his bed on the floor, but he didn't want to lie anywhere else. So he ends up positioning himself, and I look down, and I think, "Oh my gosh, look at him."

It was one of the most rewarding moments that’s ever happened to her.

Benefits of adopting a rescue dog

First of all, it’s more likely those dogs will be already fully trained. What is more, such dogs cost significantly less. Adopted dogs are already screened as a rule, and it’s a great benefit for those people who want to save their time and money. There is always a chance to take the dog for a test drive and see his true personality.

So if you are still hesitating, try thinking about those sweet moments you’ll have with a new family member! They are so precious.
