A harsh temperature drop could threaten their lives. All hands need to be on deck to save the hundreds of homeless animals that are always left out in the cold as chances are they won't survive otherwise.
Luckily, some employees at a bus station have gone the extra mile to save the lives of some stray dogs, and it's heart-melting
The bus station employees and their amazing actions
As winter was coming to Brazil, some of their finest citizens decided to go out of their way to save some stray dogs freezing on the streets.
The employees at the Barreirinha bus terminal created a space the dogs could stay and get looked after in terms of food and water. However, that was not all, as they did something even more amazing.
The employees created animal beds out of tires and blankets, and these beds to make them comfortable and warm. The stray canines who got named Max, Pitoco and Zaino, looked like they were having the time of their lives as they burrowed into their tire beds.
A local politician and animal lover, Fabiane Rosa, got whiff of the kind gesture of the employees and she praised them in a post on her Facebook page.
“Congratulations to the employees of this terminal, everyone understands that these angels are there and have the right to be. So many companies in Curitiba could follow this example, adopt a mascot. Of course, it's not ideal, but at least you have someone to look after them…”
How to help stray pets survive the cold
You don’t need to work at a bus station before you can help these creatures. You could also contribute to saving the lives of poor animals stuck in the cold by:
1. Reporting to the local authorities. Let the right people know before you take action as this is very important so that you do not disrupt any plans.

2. Getting them out of the cold. Even if you cannot bring the animal into your home, get it into a shelter of sorts, where it is safe from the dangers of the harsh elements.
3. Feed it well. A good diet is also important as it gives the animal strength to fight the effects of the cold and not fall sick.

Saving stray animals should be global and not just the job of one person or shelter. These angels deserve all the warmth and love in the world, and it’s up to us to give them that.
