Heart-Wrenching: Virginia Authorities Search For Person Who Tied A Poor Dog To The Pole And Set Him On Fire

Sadly, dogs are the most common victims of animal abuse, representing 65% of documented cases.
Tommy, the fighter
Richmond animal care and control revealed in a Facebook post that a dog had been set on fire by an unknown man.
The male pitbull, now named Tommy, was tied up on a Sunday night in Abner Clay Park and was covered in acceleratant.
Firefighters rushed to the scene immediately and had to put off the flame.The poor dog suffered burns in more than 40% of his body.
According to the shelter’s Facebook post, witnesses claimed to see a man wearing many pants running away from the scene.
Tommy is currently undergoing treatment at the Virginia Veterinary Center. However, he is a strong fighter and is improving day by day.
The vets say that, if he lives, his treatment going forward will be very expensive. They are asking for help from the public to raise funds for Tommy
Reporting animal cruelty
Tommy now has a chance of survival because some kind people who took it upon themselves to call the authorities when he was spotted in distress.
It is our moral duty to report any suspected form of animal cruelty and abuse.
