We all know that dogs are man’s best friend. They make great companions, helpers, lifesavers, protectors, and providers.
But they could be each other's best friends as well! A dog named Remus proved to be a true hero to his four-legged pal.
A family from Arizona captured an incredible video that showed a dog saving his friend who was drowning in a pool, weren’t able to get out. Smokey and Remus, the dog pals, were getting uncontrollably exuberant at their home in Mesa. Their boisterous behavior led Smokey to fall into the family pool. The dog was struggling to get out, while Remus was walking back and forth near the side in a panic.
On the video, Remus can be seen trying to get Smokey out of the water, but after a few failed attempts, the hero dog jumps into the pool to give his friend a nudge.
The video was taken by Laurie and her husband, Jay Becerra, on a security camera. Laurie wrote on social media:
So Remus and Smokey got a little rambunctious. Smokey can swim just not well. Jay recorded this off our security camera when he saw Smokey all wet!
The woman praised her dog, saying even though he is a bit crazy, he has a heart of gold. Smokey now wears a life jacket to help him learn to swim.
It just amazes me how animals are just so, you know, they’re heroes.
Laurie now sees a gold medal in synchronized swimming in Remus' future.
The sweet dog has already won a medal for being super cute!
Despite the common opinion that dogs are human’s best friend, Remus and Smokey may beg to differ.
