46-Year-Old American Actress, Selma Blair, Reveals News About Suffering From Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis: "I Am Disabled"

Date October 22, 2018

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is one of the worldwide disabling neurological diseases in young adulthood affecting approximately one million people worldwide. According to the study, roughly 200 cases are diagnosed per week across the USA.

The feature of the disease is the simultaneous damage of several different parts of the nervous system, which leads to the occurrence of a variety of neurological symptoms in patients.

"I am disabled"

Two days ago Selma Blair, 46, opened up about suffering from MS on the Instagram page. She wrote a heartbreaking post about the diagnosis and thanked everybody who supported her.

I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps. But we are doing it. And I laugh and I don’t know exactly what I will do precisely but I will do my best.

She added that MS was challenging and encouraged others to help those who have the disease because it's 'damn' hard. Admittedly, the first step to cope with health issues is to seek help.

I am in the thick of it but I hope to give some hope to others. And even to myself. You can’t get help unless you ask.
