She Was Discriminated As A Student! Michelle Obama Opens Up About Racism In Her New Book

Date November 15, 2018

It's heartbreaking to imagine how racial backgrounds can limit someone. On top of that, there is social discrimination that may involve bullying. The former First Lady, Michelle Obama had the same problems being a black woman in America. She recently revealed that she had never guessed that Mr. Obama could win 2008 Presidency. The reason was that he is black. Michelle's fear grew stronger as her husband was close to the elections.

Times magazine featured Barack Obama as a strong contender in their 2016 issue by the headline, Why Barack Obama Could Be The Next President. She put it away as she couldn't stomach the feeling of his failure after getting her hopes high. She told Independent News:

A dreadful fear only because of skin color! Their voters must be proud to rationalize their decision to Mr. Obama's credibility alone!

Michele wrote about how discriminated she was at Princeton University. She immediately pursued the university council to keep Cathy away from the close proximity of African Americans.

Cathy only revealed that she had switched dorms on purpose, a year later. Mrs. Obama was relieved that she hadn't known this earlier, as she told Mirror UK:

It didn't end at the university

Even when she became the First Lady of America, the sick racial mentality chased her. A West Virginia county worker deeply offended her by calling her an 'Ape In heels'. Pamela Ramsey Taylor posted on Facebook:

It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I’m tired of seeing an Ape in heels.

Following an apology, she was terminated on request of 121,000 signatures on a petition against her. It's good to notice while racism exists, it is not tolerated officially!
