Sylvester 'Sly' Stallone Opens His Heart About Raising An Autistic Son: "I Got Some Pain Right Here"

Sylvester Stallone, 72, is the father of 5 kids. However, his son, Sage, tragically died at the age of 36 in 2012. As the actor said:

It's tough. It's very, very tough, but if you have good friends and family support … it's a horrible situation, but time will hopefully heal, and you try to get through it, but it's just something. It's a reality of life.

36-year-old Sage was found dead on Friday, July 13, 2012, at his home in Studio City, LA. According to some reports, when the body was discovered, the actor had been dead for at least three days. On August 30, 2012, it was reported that Sage's death was from a heart attack caused by atherosclerosis.

Another hardship

The death of his eldest son wasn't the actor's only tragedy. His other son, Seargeoh, has autism. Though he has an American actor as his father, he couldn't pursue a celebrity career, unlike his siblings. Seargeoh started repeating words day after day and failed to walk correctly.

His parents totally broke down and didn't know what to do, although they spent a vast amount of money on various therapies to help their son. As Sly once said, pointing to his chest:

I got some pain right here. I can’t believe this is happening to me, not now.

Seargeoh, in fact, has shown great results in managing his own life. He's a bit different from other autistic people. For example, he can perform some things on his own, and he has come up with some very original ideas.

Many autistic children are violent, Seargeoh is not. We’re lucky. A brain scan showed there was no deterioration of the brain. So there is a chance that he conceivably could recover.

Sylvester Stallone doesn't like talking about his son, or about his kids in general. He prefers to keep to himself and avoid any statements, tabloids or photos of his autistic son. He just wants to protect him and do everything he needs to for his son.

Three beauties

It's no wonder that Seargeoh Stallone's 3 half-sisters —  Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet  — are some of the most stunning females.

The American actor always made appearances with Sage, Seargeoh, and his 3 daughters when they were toddlers, but only the sisters are in the spotlight nowadays.

Sophia Stallone, 22, is a sorority girl and communications major at the University of Southern California. She dreams of having own makeup line since she's really into fashion and beauty hacks.

Sistine Stallone, 20, was signed by IMG models this year, joining scions like Dakota Lohan. She's in an elite group now. She'll probably develop a modeling career, and become even more popular than she is today.

Scarlet Stallone, 16, is still in junior high at St. Paul the Apostle School in Westwood. Unlike her elder sisters, she prefers a more casual style, like jeans and sneakers. But who knows? Maybe she'll discover something different in the future.
