Here Come The Brides! Former Miss America Winner Deidre Downs Married Her Girlfriend In A Beautiful Ceremony

Deidre Downs won Miss America pageant in 2005, after being crowned as Miss Alabama in 2004. Not long after, she stepped away from glitz and glamour to lead a regular life. Deidre now works as obstetrician-gynecologist in Birmingham.

Former pageant queen met the love of her life in 2017. She and her future wife, Abbott Jones, connected online. Deidre said that upon their first meeting in real life, she instantly knew Abbott was the one for her.

The couple got engaged by Christmas. Downs proposed to her love herself and played a video highlighting the most important moments of their relationship.

Two happy ladies didn't take long to tie the knot in a wedding of their dreams. The two looked absolutely stunning in their white gowns and were over the moon to exchange vows.

Saying our vows in front of our family and friends and making that commitment to the love of my life was the most meaningful part of the day for me.

Downs has an 8-year-old son, who played a big part in the ceremony. He gave Deidre away and was chosen as his mother's best man.

The couple's friends and family gathered in a whopping 200-guests wedding to celebrate Deidre and Abbott's love. In addition the couple received congratulations from their admirers via Twitter.
