Gwyneth Paltrow Appreciates Being In Her First Ever "Adult Realtionship" With Brad Falchuk Despite It Being Hard Work
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk had come a long way before they found each other. Both were married with two 'children', but little did they know that their true love was still ahead.
The couple met in 2010 when Gwyneth appeared on hit TV show Glee, which was produced by Falchuk. The spark was there but had to be put off hold until the better times.
In 2013, Brad divorced his wife of 19 years. Shorty after, Gwyneth confirmed her split from Chris Martin, whom she'd been married to for 11 years.
Falchuk and Paltrow were there for each other as they were leaving their long-term commitments behind. And finally, in 2015, the couple confirmed their relationship.
What followed were years of serenity and romance together. Over time, Gwyneth and Brad realized they were finally truly happy.
The couple announced their engagement in the beginning of 2018.
This time around, it's different for Gwyneth
Paltrow revealed that she's never felt like she does with Falchuk. The 45-year-old actress had numerous celebrity boyfriends in her life, but they all had a big flaw in common. All those men weren't ready to completely open up to Gwyneth.
In the past, I’ve been in relationships with men who had intimacy issues, so I could be, like, 'I’m fine, I’m ready to do this', and let myself think he’s the one with the problem.
As the actress became older, she's realized the errors of her ways with men. Brad was finally the one to show her what it's like to be in a mature relationship.
After reaching her 40s, Paltrow was ready for the challenge.
Now, for the first time, I feel I’m in an adult relationship that is sometimes uncomfortable, because he sort of demands a certain level of intimacy and communication that I haven’t been held to before.
Brad and Gwyneth love and respect each other. They spend time with each other's children, while at the same time finding private time for just the two of them.
Past isn't dead
Despite being divorced, Gwyneth is still close with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
It's not surprising, since the couple spent over a decade together and share two kids.
We're still very much a family, even though we don't have a romantic relationship. He's like my brother.
It's admirable to see that Paltrow and Martin were able to stay friends, unlike many other divorced couples. And Brad is very accepting of their relationship as well.
Meanwhile, we're impatiently waiting for Paltrow and Falchuk's wedding. We're sure it's going to be a very special occassion.
