Hubba Hubba! Steve McQueen’s Grandson Is ‘Chicago Fire’ Star And Is A Hottie Just Like His Famous Grandfather
Steve McQueen was one of the coolest and manliest actors of his time. His roles in The Great Escape (1963) and The Towering Inferno (1974) didn’t just bring him critical acclaim but also conquered many female hearts.
McQueen boasted rugged good looks, which worked perfectly for both bad boy and hero roles. The camera loved him almost as much as audiences around the world.
The famous actor had three wives in his life, including Hollywood’s sweetheart and his The Getaway (1972) co-star Ali MacGraw.
But did you know that McQueen’s grandson, Steven R. McQueen, is also a famous actor and just as handsome as his famous grandfather?
McQueen men taking over Hollywood
If you’ve seen Chicago Fire you must remember charming Jimmy Borelli portrayed by Steven R. McQueen. We had no idea he was related to the legendary actor!
But we can definitely see that good looks run in the family as Steven is confidently taking over the TV world. He was also one of the stars of the famous TV series The Vampire Diaries.
Now we just can’t un-see the familiar charisma in Steven that we know well from his late grandfather.
Steven takes his legacy very seriously
In an interview with NZHerald, Steven revealed what it felt like knowing that his grandfather was a Hollywood legend. But it didn’t inspire him to become an actor, he was actually quite afraid of trying to live up to McQueen’s standards:
Knowing that my grandad was a highly respected actor wasn't necessarily intimidating, but it definitely meant there was always a pressure to live up to his reputation. I think that's why acting wasn't something I even considered doing, as a kid.
However, his acting genes took over, and Steven started his own career. Most of all, he hopes to make a name for himself and not be compared to his celeb relative:
There's definitely a level of pressure because of it, but it's the name I was born with so I figured I may as well stick with it. Anyway, I'm quite a competitive person, so it pushes me to not only live up to any expectations, but to climb out of the shadow and cut a path of my own.
We wish Steven good luck in his career and hope to see more of him!
