Love letter to his mom and sister
The actor says his book, "My Girls: A Lifetime with Carrie and Debbie," is a love letter to his famous mom and sister, acclaimed Star Wars actress.
He had always wanted to write a memoir and eventually did after the tragic passing of his mother and sister in 2016, just a day apart.
The Hollywood family lived under the spotlight for years. Long before Brad Pitt left Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie, his father, the iconic Eddie Fisher, left his mom for another famous actress, Elizabeth Taylor.
It was the classic Hollywood scandal. But Debbie Reynolds moved on and married again, twice.
According to Todd, his charming father was barely in their lives, and his death had no effect on him. He specifically stated that he did not shed a tear for the beloved actor.
Debbie's one true love
His mom did not bear any ill will towards Elizabeth Taylor for stealing her first husband, because she never really stopped loving Robert Wagner, whom she dated before Eddie.
She continued to love him despite marrying two other men and, according to Todd, she even held the hope that he would pay her a visit, which he never did.
