Linda Evans Says Her Ex-Husband's Romance With Bo Derek Cut Her Really Deep: "I Was Mad And Sad"

Blond goddess and TV star Linda Evans finally came clean about the way she felt after her first husband left her for the teenage Bo Derek and their marriage ended.

Linda's had an amazing love life

Evans who is best known for playing Krystle Carrington from Dynasty was married to the actor and film producer John Derek for 6 years. They became husband and wife in 1968.

After her marriage to John hit the rocks, she remarried a businessman Stan Herman two years later, but that union also ended in divorce. She also reportedly dated the enigmatic music star Yanni until 1998.

John betrayal hurt her

Evan is long over her divorce from John Derek, but in 2011, she told Fox 411 that after their marriage fell apart, she kept hoping he would come back.

However, that wishful thinking was crushed when he began to date a teenage girl she considered her protege, 15-year-old Mary Cathleen Collins, who came to be known as the famous Bo Derek.

The ageless actress says that betrayal stung her, and she lost her will to live.

It was the worst thing that could happen to me in the world, to live without John. He was everything to me. I was mad, I was sad. It was a horrible mixture of things.

But Evans admits she's grateful things didn't work out between her and her first husband.

I’m so grateful that John did that because he wanted me to stop working, period. I never would have had ‘Dynasty’ and the men that I loved after that.

She found peace and forgave them

Through the years, she gotten over her pain, healed her relationship with John, and even now, she considers Bo Derek one of her good friends and a beautiful human being.

When Evans did her iconic Barbara Walters interview, she said finding peace and forgiveness was not easy. She hated John and Bo for years, but came to accept the heart for what it is.

According to her, you can't control who people fall in love with, and it's that simple. What an incredible spirit she's got!
