Bill and Camille Cosby’s relationship stands out for a number of reasons. One is that Camille supported her husband despite people saying she deserved better. This was after the actor was convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand.

Divorce rumors

A rep of Bill Cosby has shut down rumors that the comedian and his wife of over five decades, Camille Cosby, were getting a divorce. Speaking to PEOPLE, Andrew Wyatt said the report that Camille had moved out of the couple’s home is a “ridiculous story from an egregious publication.”

Devoted wife

Camile Cosby has stood by her husband of over 5 decades despite the number of accusations against him.

It was love at first sight for the couple whose relationship stands out. They met on a blind date, and the actor proposed to her on their second date, but she made no commitment. They were married in January 1954, and share daughters, Erika, Erinn, and Evin. Their children Ennis and Ensa are dead.

Their marriage over the years has weathered storm that confronts show business marriages, such as distance and public scrutiny.

As more ladies came forward to accuse Bill of sexual misconduct, Camille remained by his side, maintaining her husband was innocent and the accusers were all liars saying:

The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew.

During Bill's sexual-assault trial the comedian's leading lawyer told his client's wife she "deserved better."

Camille doesn’t visit, but they talk

Since Bill Cosby entered a maximum-security prison in Pennsylvania, he hasn’t seen his wife or children. His only contact is through his spokesman Andrew Wyatt.

Speaking with NBC10 on the actor’s life in prison, Andrew said: "Despite the circumstance, Bill is in good spirits. He speaks with his wife by phone three times a day and has weaned himself off coffee."

Over the years, Camille Cosby has remained a loyal, devoted, and supportive wife to Bill Cosby.
