Despite their very busy career, the Dynasty actress Linda Evans and international music star Yanni couldn’t help but meet and fall in love. The two had a high-profile relationship back in the ‘90s.

Not too busy to fall in love

With a pianist from Greece and a beautiful actress from America, it was a perfect match made in heaven.
The award-winning actress said she first fell in love with Yanni’s music before meeting him.

Their love story began back in 1989, when Linda was a top-flight TV star, and Yanni — a little-known Greek-born instrumentalist with really long hair.

Their epic love started with a call to Yanni from Linda to express her thoughts on his music. They seemed terribly in love.

Nine years gone

Almost a decade later, their love had sadly come to an end. After their breakup, they both tried to couch their split in the most thoughtful terms. The couple released a joint statement saying:

We have collaborated professionally and have shared many extraordinary personal experiences. We feel our lives moving in different directions.

Speaking on the primal restless spirit, the musician once said:

Relationships should be a freeing experience rather than an enslavement. They should be an energy giver rather than an energy drainer.

In an interview, Linda revealed that she had plastic surgery during the nine-year relationship. Linda, who doesn’t regret her decision, said she had the surgery because she was madly in love with a man 12 years younger than her and still wanted to look good.

Dismissing the factor 'Star Is Born' that could restrain their relationship, Yanni said:

No one is happier than Linda to see [my success] happen. After all, she's the one who introduced me to the American public.

Forever friends

Yanni describes Linda as one of the most amazing human beings he has ever met in his life.  The musician said though they were not married, they lived as a couple.

He said that was the only time in his life he ever had a relationship with a woman where there were no games involved. The Greek pianist noted that the time spent with the actress can never be erased, saying:

Such things could never go away, never.

Though the relationship didn’t last very long, it seems, their friendship did. Linda calls Yanni the other great love of her life.
