No ready until he met the love of his life

In the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine, Chip admitted he was selfish and wasn’t the guy who was ready to settle down:

Fortunately for him things changed when he met the love of his life, Joanna while she was working at her father’s shop in Waco. The Fixer Upper star said:

It felt like there was this real transition. I matured and grew up. It just kind of clicked in my brain: ‘This is going to work.

Chip also noted that he had to make a lot of changes in order to be a better person.

With their five children, forthcoming TV network, and growing business, Chip credits his wife for all the hard work.

"Her dad made the mistake of putting a pic of the family behind the counter at his [automotive] shop. I knew I'd marry her one day just by the picture on the wall."

The happy couple is a picture of love, and we absolutely adore them.
