Sen. Harris’ announcement

The junior senator from California made her presidential ambitions known on January 21 with a speech and social media posts.

We are waiting for other potential candidates to make their intentions clear, including Oprah, George Clooney, and Dwayne Johnson (Kanye West also entertained the idea in the past, but it’s highly unlikely that he will challenge his pal.)

Rosie O’Donnell declares her support for Sen. Harris

The comedienne and actress is no fan of President Trump. Their feud started long ago and has to do, at least in part, with Trump's position on LGBT rights. So it's no surprise O'Donnell has an eye out for a good presidential candidate for 2020.

When asked about possible female Democratic challengers to take on Trump in 2020 and become the first female president, the actress said:

Nothing would make me happier. I think Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris… There’s a bunch of women who are really strong out there, and Elizabeth Warren – I’m a huge supporter of hers as well. But nothing would make me happier than Kamala Harris, I gotta tell you.

Other celebrity endorsements

A few other celebrities have voiced their support. Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman posted an endorsement for Sen. Harris on Twitter:

Days earlier, NCIS star Pauley Perrette (who knows the senator personally and is not a fan of Trump) made an announcement as well:

Well, who’s next? The next few weeks will show!
