As the royal family prepares to celebrate the big day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge didn’t step away from their duties. The couple visited South Yorkshire for a day filled with royal affairs. As they arrived at the first event on their busy schedule, all eyes were on Kate and her extremely elegant dress.

For the opening of McLaren Automotive's new Composites Technology Centre, the mom-of-three chose a stunning blue coat dress with a belt that elegantly hugged her tiny waist. The chic number featured a pretty collar, which added a touch of femininity.

According to the Twitter account @KateMCambridge, the Duchess combined the gorgeous royal blue number with matching Rupert Sanderson Malory heels, a black clutch by Smythson, and a Cartier Ballon Bleu watch, which is believed to be a present from Prince William.
Even though the dress is quite modest, we couldn't help but notice Kate's stunningly fit legs. She is definitely the sport lover. Those calves don't lie!
After the opening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Barnsley's local Centrepoint hostel. William followed the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, and became a patron of Centrepoint in 2005.
The royal parents met with homeless young people from the area, whom the hostel is supporting and helping to get education and work.
