The 48-year-old recalled how she was once asked during a panel with around 100 people in the room:

Why do you always feel the need to be so grotesque?

She said that she didn’t understand the question to which the interviewer replied:

You look sloppy, you’re not wearing any makeup, your hair is not done, you’re yelling at people.

The astounded actress answered:

McCarthy also remembered that time when she was asked whether she was shocked that she can actually work in the showbiz at her “tremendous size.”

This is the price she has to pay to work in such unforgiving industry. Despite that, she teaches her two daughters body positivity, saying that as long as they are healthy, they should embrace the body they have. We couldn’t agree more with her statement!
