Why did she decide to decline the help that many stars even much younger than her use?

Aging gracefully

The legendary singer shared her thoughts on aging and plastic surgery in a candid interview with Good Housekeeping. She says that she hasn’t had any facelifts, Botox, or fillers of any sorts because she believes that “health is the greatest gift" anyone could have.

The 64-year-old, who is an avid feminist and fighter for equality, thinks that nowadays women feel pressure to look good no matter the age, but she decided to embrace her wrinkles instead of making an appointment at the cosmetology clinic.

She said:

I haven't had Botox or facelifts (yet!). Not that I judge women who do have cosmetic surgery – if a woman gets a psychological boost from it, then it's her choice. I'm 64 and I've got wrinkles, so what? I've earned a few lines! The pressure on women to look good is so strong, but at this stage in life, I appreciate health is the greatest gift at all.

Previously, Lennox talked about getting older, declaring that she wants to represent herself at her age in the best way, which includes makeup and the right lights. But the most important thing for her is to look just how she is.

Annie believes that getting older should be perceived as going through the journey of life with gratitude rather than trying to hold on to the youth, which is inevitably slipping away. We couldn’t agree more.
