David Beckham Sets Internet On Fire After Posting A Photo Of Him Kissing His Daughter On The Lips Once Again

Date November 28, 2018

David and Victoria Beckham love their kids. And they like to demonstrate it in my ways, for example giving them a peck on the lips. However, some people consider this way of showing affection a little bit controversial.

Previously David was slammed for posting a photo with his 7-year-old daughter, Harper, where he was giving her a kiss on the lips. Outraged social media users branded his actions as ‘wrong’ and ‘weird’.

The retired footballer explained that he is just very affectionate with his kids. He said:

It's how I was brought up and Victoria, and it’s how we are with our children. We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and we’re very affectionate with them.

The negative comments didn’t change David’s mind. To prove that, he did it again.

Another controversial kiss

This week the Beckhams patriarch set the Internet on fire again after posting a seemingly adorable snap of him and his daughter skating together. And giving each other a kiss on the lips.

He captioned it with:

Christmas is coming. Let’s go skate

But David didn’t get Christmas cheers as some people were weirded out by the way he showed his affection.

Nonetheless, others supported the loving dad, saying that there is nothing wrong with it.

But is there really nothing wrong? Let’s hear what the experts got to say.

The phycologists’ opinion

American doctor Charlotte Reznick warned parents that kissing kids on the lips is a big no-no, as the mouth is an erogenous zone. She said:

If mommy kisses daddy on the mouth and vice versa, what does that mean, when I, a little girl or boy, kiss my parents on the mouth?

However, a clinical psychologist Sally-Anne McCormack disagrees with her saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. She commented:

Some people might have issues with it, but it isn’t any more sexual than giving a baby a back rub.

What do you think about it? Do you kiss your kids on the lips?
