It is a common belief that soon the United Kingdom will have a new person on the throne. As the Queen’s heir, Prince Charles is thought to put the crown on his head after his mother. Throughout this year, his workload has rapidly increased, which makes us think that he is being prepared to become the King.

Prince Charles is not the only one, whose position is starting to change. His wife, Camilla, has been getting more responsibilities as well. Recently, the Queen even elevated her to the Privy Council, most senior advisory body. Camilla believes Charles is destined to be King

Prince Charles is celebrating his 70th birthday this month, and to mark such an important milestone, the BBC released a new documentary about him.

In the film, Duchess Camilla talks about her husband’s upcoming role, saying he was born to do it. When she was asked whether it weighs on his shoulders, she answered without a trace of hesitation:

The Duchess says Charles doesn’t talk much about his succession, but he is aware of what the future holds for him.

We wonder if the British public is ready for future changes in the monarchy. Prince Charles says he won’t be able to do the same things as a sovereign that he can as an heir. So we might see him in a different light when he inherits the throne.
