What was not to like about him? Tyrone had good looks, a charm to spare, and natural performing talent. Women loved him, men wanted to be his best mate.

He was married three times and had two daughters. Even though he loved his girls, Tyrone always wanted to have a son and finally, his wish came true.

The only son

Power’s third wife Debbie gave the screen legend a gift he always wished for – the first and only son, but he didn’t get a chance to meet him. Tyrone Power IV was born on January 1959, just a few months after his famous father passed away.

As Ty was growing up, he looked more and more like Power. He inherited everything his dad could possibly boast to have – his eyes, nose, lips, and even his iconic eyebrows.

Power IV got interested in his father’s career and became an actor himself. No wonder he chose a career in entertainment as he is the fourth actor who has the name Tyrone Power. The very first one was his great-great-grandfather.

Power Jr.’s first-ever role was in the 1985’s movie Cocoon. It was small but very important as it helped to set off his career. He admitted that it was difficult to grow up without a father whom he never got to know, yet whom many people loved and admired.

Ty ones shared in an interview:

For many years, I only knew mine as a pirate, a cowboy and Zorro. The rest came in bits and pieces, from the stories others would tell me about him.

Despite that, we are certain that his father would have been very proud knowing how much he has achieved.
