Carrie Underwood Opens Up About The Accident That Left Her With More Than 40 Stitches In Her Face
Carrie Underwood is finally back! In November, the singer was hospitalized after she had fallen on the steps outside her house.
Unfortunately, the 35-year-old sustained various injuries. Apart from breaking her wrist, she also injured her face; thus, she required almost 50 stitches!
But don’t worry, the singer is perfectly fine now. Shortly after having a surgery on her wrist, she took to Instagram to express gratitude to her fans and assure them she was doing OK.
I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well...even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on...I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.— Carrie Underwood (@carrieunderwood) November 15, 2017
Now, 6 months after the accident, Underwood is finally ready to talk about her fall and stitches. A few days ago, she visited "Today" show hosted by Hoda Kotb, and the incident was the main topic conversation.
As it turns out, it was pretty plain and simple. The singer fell while taking her pet dogs out. As she says:
If I had fallen anywhere else, it wouldn't have been a problem. But there was just one little step that I went to catch myself on and I missed.
Carrie really worried her face would look different following the incident. But we think the star looks as beautiful as she did before!
Underwood also returns to American Idol as a superstar guest mentor on May 13. What is more, she announced her new single and music video from the forthcoming album, Cry Pretty.
It’s good to have you back, Carrie!
