Duchess Meghan is slammed for her ‘feminist speech’

Earlier these days, Prince Harry and his charming wife arrived in New Zealand amid their 16-day royal tour. On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Government House reception in Wellington, where Meghan proved her excellent skills of a public speaker.

During the noble event in honor of the 125th anniversary of women's suffrage, Meghan took to stage to deliver her speech. The Duchess got emotional as she spoke about women’s rights and equality.

Suffrage is not simply about the right to vote but also about what that represents. The basic and fundamental human right is being able to participate in the choices for your future and that of your community.

The audience liked Meghan’s powerful speech which generated a standing ovation. But social media users attacked the Duchess claiming that “she can't be a royal and a feminist at the same time.”
