Four Down And One To Go: Brigitte Nielsen Is Getting Ready To Deliver Baby No.5 At 54

Date June 1, 2018

There are only so many Hollywood celebrities who have children after they hit 40. But model, actress, and reality TV show star, Brigitte Nielsen, is bent on breaking all the stops. She revealed that she was expecting baby number 5.

Nielson’s relationships were highly publicized. She even dated action man Sylvester Stallone and eventually got married to him in 1985. The marriage lasted for barely two years, as the couple separated in 1987.

For now, she looks pretty comfortable, as she awaits her due date. She did receive a lot of criticism for her decision to have a baby well after 40, but some fans of the star still believe that she is an inspiration to women who would like to have babies in their later years.

And she is not the only celebrity who has gotten pregnant in her later years.

Swordfish actress Halle Berry announced her pregnancy in 2013. She was expecting a baby with Olivier Martinez at the time and was 46 years old at her delivery.

Eva Mendes had her baby girl Esmerelda Amada Gosling with fellow actor Ryan Gosling when she was 40.

Canadian singer Celine Dion gave birth to twins Nelson and Eddy Angelil in 2010 when she was 42.

Nicole Kidman was 41 when she gave birth to her daughter Sunday Rose Urban.

Doctors say that the risk of complications during pregnancy and after childbirth increases as women progress in age. While these women are living proof that getting pregnant is possible after 40, it is advisable that women consult their doctors to better understand their individual circumstances before taking the leap.

Again, congratulations to Brigitte Nielsen. And all the best in the coming weeks.
