Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has always had a love-hate relationship with social media. From her recent visit to President Trump at the White House to her support of husband Kanye West and his pro-Trump tweets, observers have found enough cannon fodder for personal attacks.
More recently, she came under fire from critics who called her out for straightening her daughter’s hair. Kim shared a photo celebrating Father's Day that showed Kanye carrying their daughter, North West, on his shoulder. But the image did not go well with many fans.
Some say that straightening children’s hair is a bad idea, no matter how cute it makes them look. Usually, North wears her hair curly or in buns or braids. Now, her hair was all straight, just like her mothers. However, fans are divided on the subject of the hair. Some still think Kim has the right to say how her daughter wears her hair, even if fans don’t like her choices.
North looks so big and beautiful 😩😍 but they shouldn’t of straightened her hair yet 🙄🤦🏻♀️— Geezy.. (@MsMyaG) June 14, 2018
And with all the hullabaloo about appearances, it seems like North has ideas of her own. On Tuesday, she decided to get her own makeup done. Her mother stumbled on her applying a heavy layer of blue eyeshadow all over her face.
The cheeky 5-year-old didn’t seem to mind that the blue eyeshadow from the $45 KKW x Mario palette was way more than it should have been.
North has taken a strong liking for makeup and is even working on her own YouTube channel where she plans to share makeup tips. Last December, her mother Kim recorded a “glam session” where North created a fancy look with purples and pink. She shared her story with Women’s Wear Daily:
My daughter watches so many YouTube tutorials and videos. She was unboxing the My Little Pony Colourpop collection, and I thought to myself, ‘I wish I was recording this’ because her reaction was so funny. And then, she did makeup on the My Little Pony that they gave, and she said, ‘Mom, I want to do a YouTube video'.
Even her father Kanye supports the channel. According to PEOPLE, Kim says her daughter plans on taking up makeup as a career. Who knows, she might be the next Kardashian to star in her own spinoff.
