King Of Pet Names! Mark Harmon Has The Silliest Nickname For His 'NCIS' Co-Star Cote De Pablo

In 2013, Cote de Pablo announced her departure from NCIS after over 8 years of work and our hearts shattered.

There's nothing worse than saying goodbye to a member of our favorite TV family, especially when the actors are clearly friendly behind the scenes. Mark Harmon was also devastated to see Cote go, but he had to bravely carry on and focus on the show.

Mark and Cote had always been close as they developed a bond over the many years of working together. Turns out, they even had their own inside joke!

Harmon's pet name for Cote de Pablo

During one of the interviews about NCIS, Mark was asked about nicknames the cast have for each other, and when the interviewer mentioned Cote de Pablo, he started giggling. Then Cote herself chimed in and explained the situation:

He calls me goat. Don’t ask me why. I think it has to do with Cote. Cote (pronounces it coat). Goat.

Harmon clearly thought it was the most perfect pet name for de Pablo and added:

Cote, the goat, that kind of goes together.

We can't argue with that logic! Aren't they a delight?

The "Goat" is back!

Although we were sad to see Agent Ziva leave in 2013, we were overjoyed to find out that Cote de Pablo signed on to be back in season 17 of NCIS.

Mark and "Goat" are back together again and it's perfect.

We always hate to see our favorite characters go, but there's no better feeling then watching them come back.
