Social Media Users Are Livid Sam Elliott Wasn't Nominated By Golden Globes 2019 For 'A Star Is Born'

This year, we were treated to a majestic performance by Sam Elliott in a highly acclaimed drama A Star Is Born (2018).

The 74-year-old actor managed to steal every scene he was in and, despite having much less screen time compared to Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, made himself stand out and be remembered.

The movie immediately got a lot of award buzz and Elliott was in the conversation as a frontrunner for this year's Supporting Actor of the Year. However, when the first award show of the season, Golden Globes, announced their nominees earlier this month, many fans were very upset to not see Sam's name anywhere on the list, and so the uprise ensued.

Social media users noticed the snub right away and went off on social media demanding justice for Sam Elliott, who deserves the recognition for his performance.

Clearly, the public disagrees with Golden Globes, but luckily, other award shows seem to think the same way. Screen Actors Guild Awards, which is more prestigious than the aforementioned show, did include Sam Elliott in their list of nominees.
