Nothing new here, just another peek into one of the oldest royal feuds: Prince Philip versus Sarah 'Fergie' Ferguson. But the latest is another interesting revelation!

The second beloved son of Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh was introduced to Sarah by the late Princess Diana. It's no secret that Fergie's scandalous infidelity rumors bothered Prince Philip so much that he loathed her. In a statement published by NY Post from her 2001 interview, she said:

It was so bad that I believed I was this worthless human being. I thought maybe Prince Philip was right. But I don’t want to develop a thicker skin. I want to know, not why he says I’m odd and pointless, but why it affects me.

Branded an idiot 

In the 2011 Oprah Winfrey documentary series Finding Sarah, the Duchess of York disclosed in a candid manner that Prince Philip used to call her behavior 'idiotic'. Fergie spoke with TV host Dr. Phil, who is famous for offering psychological counseling to guests invited on his talk show.

In a remarkable exchange of questions during the interview, Fergie told him:

I can’t get over the stupidity of me. The first person who said it was my father-in-law. 'For such a smart woman, why does she behave in such an idiotic way?' I’m not a stupid woman.

In her defense, she believes her responses in different situations to be emotional. This doesn't mean that her intellectual capabilities are questionable. Yes, we hear you, Duchess!

Is their bad blood over now?

The war may not be over, but the enemy lines have definitely shifted. For the first time in 20 years, Fergie and Philip were caught in a single frame together in the official portrait of Princess Eugenie's wedding.
