Traditionally, the royal family spends Christmas and New Year at their Sandringham estate. The Queen's property in country-side of Norfolk. When Her Majesty's children were little, many of the holiday occasions were celebrated at Windsor Castle during the sixties. The members of the royal family also celebrated some Easters there. But after 1988, when the castle was being refurbished, their Christmases returned to the Sandringham House.

Prince George's inherited habit

The Cambridge family recently attended an event hosted by youth charity The Mix in North Kensington. KISS FM's DJ AJ King narrated what Prince William had disclosed:

They were all really excited about it and that George is already opening his presents. He thought it a quite funny. That's kids for you, even the ones that are princes.

Turns out, this hasty act of opening Christmas gifts before time is a trait that runs in the royal family. In a letter from December 1985 written to a friend, Diana revealed that she and Will were both guilty of opening presents early. Prince William was three years old then, a bit younger as Prince George is now. What a hilarious coincidence!

Another inherited habit

Prince William had a conversation with 14-year-old, hip-hop dancer, Jr. Frood when he hosted a meeting with the BBC Radio 1's Teen Heroes at Kensington Palace. The Duke popped up the fact that one habitual hobby that Prince George has inherited from his late grandma, Princess Diana is dancing. Move to those melodies!
