Vanna White Recalls How She Coped With Fiance John Gibson's Loss After A Tragic Plane Crash

It's been almost 33 years since Vanna White became a household name in America. In 1982, her career took the most adventurous turn when she got chosen out of 200 applicants to co-host Wheel of fortunate with a former weatherman Pat Sajak on the NBC. Despite this astonishing success, there had been some dark corner in her life too.
White has suffered numerous personal tragedies. She mourned the sudden death of her fiance, went through a horrible miscarriage, a failed engagement and ultimately a divorce. Let's learn if she was able to find a light at the end of the tunnel.
Moving on after losses
The anchor has recently opened up about her traumas and how she was able to cope with them to Closer Weekly. White was completely broken after the loss of her beloved fiance, John Gibson. He passed away in an air crash incident at the age of 37 in 1986. At that time, the only solace she found was from her fans who sent her their regards vial mail. She admitted:
It really did help to know that I wasn't alone.
Vanna had then ed the knot with a restaurateur, George Santo Pietro in 1989. Sadly, she miscarried a child in 1992. Later on, they welcomed two children together but, their marriage ultimately dissolved in 2002. She went on to date a businessman, Michael Kaye, got engaged with him in 2004 but, called it off only a year later.
She did manage to find her happiness after so much heartache with a contractor, John Donaldson. She gushed:
He is kind, understanding and lets me be me.
Her greatest support
From her marriage with Santi, she has a 24-year-old son, Nicholas aka Nikki and a 21-year-old daughter, Giovanna aka Gigi. Her family provides her the best support system. The proud mama often shares the fun time she has with her kids on Instagram.
