The new addition to the family is quite special, and her grandfather chose a special name for her. Lua Izzy was named after her great-grandfather, Issur Danielovitch. Born in Amsterdam, New York, Danielovitch was also a famous actor. He was born to Jewish parents and eventually changed his name to Kirk Douglas.

The centenarian celebrated his 101st birthday in early December 2017 just before he became a great-grandfather. Despite his age, still had his wits about him, thanks to the loving family he had around him all his life.

In this month's interview with Lorraine, Michael spoke about his feelings being a new grandfather. While he was quite excited when his granddaughter was born, Michael confessed that the excitement was not as elevated as he expected.

According to him, the reason is most likely because he still has a child in the house, his daughter Carys Zeta. He says that the “empty nest” feeling had not set in, so he was not overtly doting on Lua Izzy. However, he said he expected that to change as soon as his daughter leaves home.

While Cameron is settling in now to being a new dad, his past four years were somewhat dramatic. Cameron was sentenced to 7 years in prison on drug charges.

Speaking with US Weekly, Michael was quite glad that his son was finally free and was optimistic about the future.

There will be a time for him to tell his story when he's ready to.

As for Cameron, he accepted responsibility for his actions and was grateful for the support his family gave throughout the ordeal. Now more than ever, they find a reason to stick together, whatever may come.
