President Donald Trump has already indicated that he will be seeking a second term bid, but opposition is stiff as his current presidency is under heavy fire from local and international critics. Senators Cory Boker and Bernie Sanders are looking set to declare. And former Vice President Joe Biden is by far the strongest contender for the Number 1 job in America.

The former Vice President says he will be making his decision come January 2019. However, President Trump is not taking the news well. In an exclusive interview with CBS Evening NewsΒ anchor Jeff Glor, the President was quite blunt when asked his thoughts about a Biden candidacy.

Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than 1 percent and President Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did.

The President further noted that he would love to run against Biden and sounded pretty sure that the former Vice President did not stand a chance of winning.

President Obama took him, made him vice president and he was fine. But you go back and look at how he succeeded in running, when he ran two or three times, I don't think he ever break -- broke one. He was at the one or less level, 1 percent or less level.

In the meantime, observers on social media are calling out the President for his all-out attack on former Vice President Trump. Many Americans feel that a Biden candidacy may be what America needs at this time.

During his time as Vice President, Biden was not as visible as President Barack Obama. However, he earned himself a reputation as a hard worker dedicated to his job and the American people. It is likely that a Biden bid will get the support of president Barack Obama and possibly increase the chances of a win come 2020.
