Barbara Eden And Bob Newhart Pay Tribute To The Late "I Dream of Jeannie" Actor, Bill Daily

The late Bill Daily was most famous for his performances in “I Dream of Jeannie” and “The Bob Newhart Show.” Before that, he featured in television comedies like "Bewitched" and "The Farmer's Daughter." He died on Tuesday, September 4 of natural causes in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Daily started out as a musician but eventually made the shift to acting after attending the Goodman Theatre School. Growing up with dyslexia was quite hard but he managed to handle his condition by turning to humor. Later on in his career, this gimmick worked like a charm.

Barbara Eden who co-starred alongside Daily in “I Dream of Jeannie” shared a post on Twitter celebrating the late actor. In her message, Eden said she was “thankful” to have known Daily and worked with him.

Comedian Bob Newhart who signed up Daily to his show also shared this warm tribute to his former colleague, saying

He was one of the most positive people I've ever known.

William Edward Daily was born on Aug. 30, 1927, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was loved by millions of Americans and is considered one of the greatest comedians to ever be on television.

He left an undeniable mark on television history and will forever be remembered by colleagues and fans for the joy he brought with every single role he took on.
