As Variety reports, Cindy Holland, Netflix’s V.P. of original content, made a statement last Sunday at a Television Critics Association panel that is a clear indication of the networks’ readiness to get the show back on track.

We certainly have given some thought to it. We certainly would be happy to make another season of Master of None with Aziz.

Ansari picked up an Emmy for his performance in season 2 at the September awards. At the time, he said he was unsure about working on a season 3 of the show.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. is weighing in on the Ansari situation. In a post he shared on Twitter this Monday, Trump Jr., he compared the decision by Netflix to ‘pardon’ Ansari to ABC’s decision to fire Roseanne Barr.

Trump Jr.’s tweet suggested that the networks were operating double standards, letting Ansari off easy, despite his constant anti-Trump statements when ABC kicked Barr off her show for railing against Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to President Barack Obama.

Many commentators on Twitter, however, do not share the same sentiment as Trump Jr. Some have called his comparison of both cases out-of-place and even suggested Trump Jr. divert his energies to other more pressing issues.

A 23-year-old woman accused Ansari of pressuring her into sex after the two went on a date. Babe.net published the woman’s account and Ansari on his part released a statement denying the allegations. Since then, he has kept out of the public eye but it is likely that will change with his return to the show.
