Julia Louis-Dreyfus Is Cancer Free: Now She Provides Support To Other People

Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017, just one day after she won her Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in "Veep." She shared this very optimistic tweet with her followers despite the sad news.

Thankfully, she made it through her cancer treatment that included three rounds of chemotherapy. The 57-year-old is now cancer free and is putting her voice to good use. She recently teamed up with Saks, and Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon to design a flower-adorned T-shirt.

The shirt goes on sale at Saks stores in October and all proceeds go to the AiRS (Alliance in Reconstructive Surgery) Foundation, the organization provides financial assistance to women who have breast cancer or have finished treatment and cannot afford reconstructive surgery.

Dreyfus took a break from her hit TV show during the course of her cancer treatment. However, she sure is glad to be back to work now the doctors have given her a clean bill of health. She revealed this in a conversation with The Associated Press.

I feel good. I feel strong. I've got energy and, yeah, back to my old tricks. It feels like I never left.
