Lara Trump Dog Shelter Post Sparks Angst On Social Media Over Child Separation In America

Former White House Director of Communications Omarosa Manigault Newman last week provided new insight into what she calls rampant corruption in the Trump administration. In a new audio recording made by Omarosa, Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump, offered a $15k/month job in exchange for her silence.
Omarosa was fired from her job at the White House in December 2017, and President Donald Trump on another recording maintained ignorance, suggesting that the firing occurred without his knowledge.
On her part, Lara Trump released a statement suggesting that the job offer was not a bribe but an attempt to keep Omarosa in the Republican fold, an action she said she regretted. She also insists that neither the President nor the White House was involved in the offer.
Meanwhile, Lara Trump is kicking up dust on Twitter with this photo she posted about showing compassion for shelter dogs. In her very long note. Lara encouraged people looking to adopt dogs to “show them respect.”
Shelter dogs likely had families at one time. Each of them has had their lives turned upside down through no fault of their own. Imagine being let down by humans over and over. Put yourself in their place. Try to imagine.
Her intentions may have been honorable but the timing is far from. Lara Trump is facing severe criticism from people on social media who find President Trump’s rescinded family separation policy offensive.
Some commentators have drawn analogies between the post and the situation at border control facilities in America.
In the months since President Trump began clamping down on illegal immigration, border agents locked thousands of children behind bars, just like dogs in a shelter. The Lara Trump post is inadvertently a painful reminder of the horrific abuse that children immigrant suffered since April 2018.
