"We Completely Lost Everything": Keith Urban Reflects On His Childhood Flashbacks Of The Burning House

Date November 16, 2018 14:14

It has been reported that hundreds of houses are demolished due to the California fires. A lot of people, including celebrities, have lost their shelters.

The Woolsey Fire sprung devastating aftermath to such celebs as Gared Butler, Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Lady Gaga, Jessica Simpson, and others.

It's truthfully terrifying to lose the place you've been living with your beloved people. But thank God, not so many people are dead, and the rescuers save most of them.

The ghost of the past

The Never Comin' Down hitmaker won the Entertainer of the Year at CMA several days ago. However, the whole situation with the Calfornia fires reminded Keith Urban of his childhood moment when he lost his own house.

When I was 10, our house burned down, so I know that feeling of losing your house. We completely lost everything. Luckily, we were all okay…. When you are walking through the house, and it’s charred, black as black everywhere you look, water’s dripping and the firefighters have left, I remember thinking, 'I was just in here getting ready for school…' It gives me chills.

Notwithstanding, Urban said that the unity of community was of importance. Everybody gathers altogether and help to renovate some part of buildings or just help others to get out of the burning place.

It's shattering to realize about losing a place you grew up in, but fate is fate, and we should thank God for remaining alive.

Subtle place

While the majority of stars prefer lavish houses in Malibu, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman live in a modest Tennesee farmhouse. It doesn't reflect any note of luxury or typical celebrity-like lifestyle.

The official listing in French King Fine Properties describes the property as a private, gated sanctuary with "renovated and expanded brick farmhouse and guest cottage".

Keith Urban is always known for his modesty and humanity. Hopefully, he (or any other person, in that matter) will never experience the loss of home ever again.
