One of Chicago Fire's main hunks, Taylor Kinney, just celebrated his 37th birthday. For six seasons, he amazes us with the wonderful portrayal of strong but troubled Lieutenant Kelly Severide.

But Kinney isn't only lovable on screen, he's also an amazing guy in real life, who's greatly admired by his co-stars. He's even developed a strong friendship with his ex Chicago Fire co-star Lauren German, with whom he remains close to this day.

Like family

Lauren German, who used to play Leslie Shay, on hit NBC series became very close with Kinney while working together on the show. She often posts pictures with Taylor on her Instagram, and they never fail to make us laugh.

As expected, Lauren took to social media to wish her friend a happy birthday with a sweet message:

Taylor - I love you like family and praise the universe that you’re in my life.

These two have such a wonderful chemistry together, we wish she was still on the show.

Laughs and smiles

39-year-old actress always makes sure to remember Kinney's special day, and she always does it with a sense of humor. Just last year, she once again paired a heartwarming message with a hilarious snap of the actor:

Taylor, I love you and your birthday. Thanks for being such an original. Happy Birthday angel.

Looking back at their pictures together, we can't help but notice how much fun Lauren and Taylor had filming Chicago Fire.
